On Sunday the 12th of August we attended the hugely popular Greyhounds Walks Charity Show at Great Notley Country Park.

The aim of the day was to raise money for the Greyhound Walks Charity and to be there to provide any help and advice needed on pet care.  We also were invited to judge a couple of classes at the Dog Show and Spring Lodges own Lurcher Codi went to compete in the show!  Codi was bought into us as a stray who had been involved in a road traffic accident and when nobody called to claim him he was adopted by Laura, one of our veterinary nurses.

We ran several competitions on the day, including ‘Flash the Dog’ and gave away many great prizes to people.

It was wonderful to see everyones beautiful dogs on the day and we were really proud when Codi and his little ‘brother’ Link (another stray adopted by Laura) won second place in the ‘Best family’ category!  Laura has spent a large amount of time and effort rehabilitating both her dogs as both had been involved in serious road traffic accidents and we were so pleased to see them win a prize.

All of the money we raised on the day will go to the Greyhound walks Charity.
