We opened as a branch practice of Spring Lodge Veterinary Hospital in 1999, originally working from a demountable ‘hut’ on the site of ‘The Cricketers Arms’ while we were waiting for our practice to be completed.

Our main veterinary surgeons are Portia Clayton and Joanna Grove-Smith who over see the running of the Practice. They are assisted by our experienced reception staff Barbara, Diane and Elaine who are there to answer any questions, provide advice and book appointments.

Sophie Gilbey our practice nurse offers regular nursing clinics for microchipping, nail clipping, health advice and preventative health treatments.

Any animals requiring hospitalisation or operations are transported in our ambulance to our Witham Hospital (see ‘Witham Centre’) for the team of vets and qualified nurses to care for.

We are open between 8.30am and 6.30pm every weekday and between 12pm and 2pm on Saturdays.
