Kat Rhodes

Veterinary Surgeon

Kat joined Spring Lodge Veterinary Group in 2004 and initially ran the Great Notley branch as well as helping with daily running of our Hospital in Witham.
In 2008 Kat helped set up our new, purpose built Ingatestone Veterinary Centre and moved there full time as the Head Veterinary Surgeon.

Kat is qualified to give acupuncture to your pet and holds regular clinics at both our Ingatestone and Witham branches. She also has a keen interest in rabbits and other small pets and is always available for help and advice on these subjects.

Kat is accompanied at work by her Schnauzer/Cocker Spaniel cross called ‘Marvin’.

Heather Bedford

Veterinary Nurse

Hi my name is Heather and I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2003. I have worked at the Springlodge Veterinary Hospital for ten years and have been involved in many aspects of nursing from surgery, anaesthesia, nursing in-patient to reception.

When the Ingatestone Centre was opened 3 years ago I was keen to have more involvement with the clients and their pets so moved over to be the senior veterinary nurse and pet health counsellor. I run Nursing clinics and puppy parties which I love. I am also responsible for the day to day running of the practice with Kat and Angie.

When not at work I’m either busy riding my two horses Florrie and Jack or walking my two dogs Maggie and Roxy, who can be often found greeting clients behind reception.

Angie

Receptionist

Hi, my name is Angie and I’m the receptionist here at Ingatestone Veterinary Centre and I have worked here from the day we opened our doors in October 2008. We have a team of mainly three of us comprising of myself, Heather (The Veterinary Nurse) and Kat (The Vet) and Neil (Our boss and Vet on Mondays and most Saturdays).

We all work very well as a team and there’s always a smile to be found here! I worked previously in London for a media company but absolutely love my career change (especially cuddling the puppies at our puppy parties!) My husband Richard and I have a menagerie of animals at home that keep us busy including a Horse, a Shetland pony, 2 dogs, 6 ducks and 3 chickens!
