Spring Lodge Veterinary Hospital has been caring for animals in Witham for more than forty years, evolving from a chicken farm to a veterinary surgery in the 1950's.
Since that time the practice has had three owners with Neil Hodson taking charge in 1992.
The main surgery at Witham gained hospital status in 1998 and has recently been re inspected and passed to ensure it still fulfils this title.
The practice has grown since 1992, from an existing staff of five to over 25, with the addition of a branch surgery in Tiptree in 1997. In 1999 the surgery in Great Notley Garden village opened its doors. Consultations take place at all branches. All surgical & medical cases requiring further treatment are transferred to the main hospital in Witham via veterinary ambulance.
The surgeries are ideally located with excellent road links to the surrounding areas and provide a convenient option for new and existing clients in the area, with the back up of a modern well-equipped veterinary hospital.
There are six veterinary surgeons at Spring Lodge complemented by a team of nine nurses. In addition we have patient care assistants to support the veterinary team. At each clinic we have dedicated veterinary receptionists who can assist and advise on how to keep you pet happy and in the best of health and of course a team of administrative staff to assist with the running of the clinics. All members of the practice team are encouraged to continually develop their skills within the hospital through formal continuing professional development. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive service for all clients in a friendly and efficient manner.
