Sustainability

Find out more about our Sustainability commitment

Sustainability initiatives can benefit animal welfare, but care must be taken to ensure they do not inadvertently compromise it, so it is vital that everyone working in the veterinary sector understands how to use their unique mix of knowledge and experience to positively influence those they interact with

Across IVC Evidensia we care every day - for animals, our clients, our colleagues, and for a better environment.

As a large international network, we embrace our responsibility to use our expertise and resources to drive real and lasting change. It’s all in support of our vision for IVC Evidensia to be not only the best veterinary group in the world, but to be the best veterinary group for the world as well.

Transforming how we do things to embed sustainability is an exciting challenge. Our Positive Pawprint strategy helps us do this, based on three pillars - People, Planet and Patients - and underpinned by KPIs and targets to measure our progress. Our Positive Pawprint Report provides a detailed update on progress across our international network.

Our efforts;

At Spring Lodge Vets we believe in implementing (no matter how small) these sustainable changes, we as a clinic can not only reduce the environmental footprint but also create a healthier, more supportive environment for pets, people and the planet.

We strive to reduce our carbon footprint by providing clients an appointment at their closest branch & ensuring fewer deliverers of supplies to our branches.

Minimising our waste footprint by recycling as much material as possible including medical waste to prevent pollution.

We have implemented an electronic communications system for appointment reminders, online payments and patient bookings. We recently campaigned to lower our antibiotic waste and usage by asking clients to dispose of unused and/or out of date patient drugs. We strive to further our environmental impact by updating to LED lighting within our buildings.

Spring Lodge Vets are continuing efforts to become more sustainable wherever possible.
